This is a well put together documentary of Dorothea Lange, it starts off with her childhood and her interest in photography. I do wish there was more about her childhood, however the narrator which is her granddaughter explains that it wasn't something Dorothea really talked about. Not only is this great for any history class that is teaching the moments of WWI and WWII and how it all lead to the Great Depression, and how the New World was developing, it's also great for a photography class that is teaching students about negatives. It's not too long of a documentary, and it's filled with really great visuals of her work and short films of her speaking. I defiantly recommend this dvd.
