Abstract
Maria Martinez and Popovi Da demonstrate the making of black San Ildefonso Indian pottery in New Mexico, from the spreading of sacred corn and the gathering of clay to the outdoor firing and removal of pottery pieces from the fire mound.

Pablita Velarde reflects on her life as an Indian artist for nearly fifty years. She illustrates and describes the ancient earth color painting technique and through her art and storytelling provides an intimate glimpse of the values and customs of her Pueblo people.
